The leftovers are in Tupperware, we managed to find a few bottles of leftover champagne and I have found my comfy spot on the couch with a mimosa in one hand and mouse in the other as we take on the best of black Friday. Doorbusters? Please, I’ll take my sales fireside in a cashmere blanket.
We chatted earlier this week about the best ways to navigate today’s sales and even prep for the Monday ahead and I don’t know about you but I’m ready! With priorities and budgets set let’s get this click-party started!
First things first, these sales are the best of the best. From 30, 40, 50% off these are the ones not to be missed. I’ve gone through some of my favorite retailers and even picked out some not to miss items to get you ready for the holiday season – just want to click through – anything in red will take you straight to the action! Make sure to check back throughout the day for additions and on Monday for additional sale opportunities. Phew! I’m already exhausted.

Happy Thanksgiving!
The turkey is in the oven, the parade is on and I’m counting down the hours till I can pour my first glass of Chardonnay and get kicked out of the kitchen. If you’re anything like me today is the first of many hosted events that the holiday season will bring. From wine-filled soirees to ugly sweater parties (here’s a few ideas) I never want to show up empty handed. Simple and thoughtful gifts such as a Henri Bendel white spruce candle or a fun wine bottle opener are great party gifts! Also the not to miss William Sonoma Hot Chocolate are holiday tastes to die for.
On top of gifts for the party hosts – I found a few picks for those that love to entertain, moms, aunts, friends, sisters, brothers and Dad’s. Anyone that likes to put on the dog really. For a bit more tailored countertop William Sonoma has sets with mixed metals such as they Copper collection. I’m loving their Copper Rim Barware Collection which can also double as a great set for Dad, brother or boyfriend.

If last year was any indication – this year’s Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales are going to be killer and I have my “link list” ready (remember last year’s tips?!). This year we’re going in eyes wide open and ready to take on the best of holiday savings for gifts, investment pieces and who knows – even pull the trigger on next year’s Q1 trip!
So to study up – I’ve created a list of ten things not to miss when shopping post-Turkey day – from the couch of course. A few new and a few old all promised to help you make the most of your click time.
TEN TIPS TO “SLEIGH” BLACK FRIDAY/CYBER MONDAY
1) Think Holiday – From tinsel to even your tree, sites like Wayfair and HomeGoods “sleigh” the décor game. Anything you’re looking to theme out this year? It will allow you to dive a little deeper into the holiday cheer without breaking the bank on a one time a year investment.
2) Get Personal – What I love about giving gifts is that a monogram can make it that much more special. However, monogramming can take time – and may cost extra – look for shops like Jack Rogers, Henri Bendel and L.L. Bean for low cost monogram options and the ability to bake in plenty of lead time!
3) Pull the Travel Ripcord – With all my travels this year, the bug has got me again for 2017. Check out Expedia, your preferred airline (#DeltaLoyalist) and even cruise lines like Royal Caribbean. My exact Eurotrip itinerary with these ladies is even on “sail.”
4) Merry the Masses – This is simple – co-workers, secret Santa’s, Holiday hostess gifts – the little “thoughtful” gifts add up! Consider visiting sites like Etsy to shop for something unique and in larger quantities. But be sure they can accommodate the mass order – unless you plan to couple it with a Super Bowl gift!
5) Get Up Early – If your house is anything like mine, wine brain can lead to buying really ugly jeans at the 12AM break of Black Friday and around 9AM the house starts buzzing with caffeinated aunts making pancakes. So set your alarm for 7AM – bank on everyone else’s food coma and click click click!
6) Make a Wishlist – To ensure you capture everything on your list – create a link list in Google Docs. As you recover from your turkey coma – you can browse without the pressure and have everything ready to go come Friday/Monday.
7) Shop to Save (on shipping) –Big retailers, Nordstrom, Shopbop, Amazon and Target not only have killer sales but great ship/send rates and return policy’s like none other. When pressed for time shopping at big retailers also offer bigger savings, which also means better shipping rates and less boxes upon arrival.
8) Find The Better Deal – While your favorite stores offer great saving options – don’t sell out for just one. For example items from Topshop can also be found at Nordstrom. Couple that with a few other items and free shipping and you can even add that bangle you’ve been after for what you may have paid elsewhere. The beauty of the internet – no walking from store to store to weigh your options – #CouchClicksandCoffee.
9) Social Media Insider Tips – While brands love when you follow them on social, there’s never been a better time. Between Twitter and Instagram top retailers share some of their biggest sale savings via social media. So to save yourself the trouble of finding all the great deals – make a Twitter list of the favorite brands aligned to your wish list. Consider it your Cyber Monday directory.
10) Set a Budget – Hitting “Pay with Paypal” is probably the easiest thing to do on Cyber Monday – no credit card required. However, to make sure you’re not over spending, load money on to your Paypal account and set a budget for how much you’ll allow yourself to spend. Should you need a little less self-policing – work the credit card. Remember point’s people, points!
Make sure to check back Friday for a full guide and the best of sales.
Happy Black Friday/Cyber Monday Folks! May your wallets stay merry and your purchases be bright!
I’d be lying if I said holiday music wasn’t on repeat and spending the day at the plaza hotel didn’t get me in the mood.
With Thanksgiving, Black Friday Sales and Cyber Monday just days away and New York starting to really deck the halls – I couldn’t be more excited to stay in NYC during the holidays. You see – 10 countries in the past year may be a feat and getting out of the city every once in awhile is nice, but if there’s a time of year that being in New York trumps any place else – it’s the holidays!
So to kick off my holiday celebrations – I went for a little walk arriving at Lord and Taylor who seems to be first to the holiday windows this year. While I did spot some velvet heels that caught my eye – it was actually the ugly sweater section that had me in stitches. Every year, on December 23rd, my family and close family friends host one punny party and these are sure to be on the list! Check them out:(by row L to R)

The weather is getting colder in NYC which has me dreaming of summer all over again. What can I say – I’m not happy unless sunglasses and a dress are a daily sartorial staple.
But – since we’ve got about another 8 months till those summer nights are back – I’m reliving the most steamy of days from my travels this year. So let’s take it back to July 2016 and the cobblestone streets of Florence, Italy. A place unlike any other and a destination with some of the best shopping, piazza’s and food I’ve ever experienced. (more…)
Drumroll please! After going through what seemed like 1000’s of photos, losing a bunch, hiring a very savvy tech guy to find them again and filtering some more – (phew!) I am so excited to share the first of many photo diaries to come.
It’s no secret that this year has been the year of travel. With only 2 countries to go – I can’t wait, to stay put for a bit, share my adventures and spend time sharing what I saw, ate and shopped in each place.
Recently my 6 city tour took me through Italy Greece and Turkey. The trip was a part of a press trip on Royal Caribbean’s Jewel of the Seas. As you know part of my job is connecting bloggers with great trips like these as and influencer specialist – in coincidence, I to get to sometimes snap and share my own photos too!
First stop – Positano. Yes, it is straight out of the movie Under The Tuscan Sun with Diane Lane. Yes, there are a sh!tload of stairs, limoncello and umbrella’s that are just begging to be photographed!
The best travel buddies – @SavvyHome and @ThePerennialStyle!
More suggestions of where to See/Eat/Shop Positano coming as I continue to relive all my stops this year. (and a video!)
It’s been a big week y’all! I’ll let you in on a few little secrets…
One, jet lag is a b!tch (okay not a secret), Two I actually got back from my time overseas last Sunday (I know!, Three I got promoted when I returned (Again, I know!) and Four I have so many pictures and video to share! I’m almost done checking off my whirlwind year of travel with only two countries planned till settling for the holidays. Someone said Christmas music to me the other day and I got so flippin’ excited!
Bring on the click-worthy sh!t!

Till then.. catch me here: Instagram (now IG stories! #PRBUnplugged) | Twitter
I saw a headline that read – “burn the sweaters” the other day, and while my wardrobe purgatory may agree – reentry has me making over my closet in a big way.
I have to admit – colder weather and I aren’t friends.
By now (and as evidenced above) you know I’ve been globe trotting. Video diary, postcard posts and way more instagrams to follow, there was literally too many amazing shots to capture. But from the warm weather of Greece and Italy, I’m finding that the summer clothes are no longer doing the trick and I am spending way too much time searching for the perfect cozy sweater on Shopbop. (I found this one!)
So amidst tons of photo and video editing over hot toddy’s (Yay! for hot toddy weather) I am going to be cleaning out and switching up my seasonal staples Bye Jack Rogers (le sigh!) hello bean boots! Plus with my next trip already booked (we’re going cold!) we’ll need to kick the cozy into high gear. So I’ve gathered a few inspirational picks that will get me through hot apple cider weather and strolls through Central Park.
Y’all must have noticed – things are a little different around here! Similar, yet different. Right?
More on that later this week but I think what’s amazing is how this 2016 is flying by and yet again I’m getting on a plane Wednesday to fly across an ocean to visit my 8th and 9th country this year. While I’ve been so lucky to see so much, I also have yet to master the art of packing, I’m convinced those God’s have no intention of ever smiling on me ever… it’s fine. I’ll just sit on my suitcase.
While we may be transitioning into bootie and cozy sweater weather – it’s back to summer for me! So while prepping to head out of town of course I did a little shopping. From the cliffs of Positano and the white washed walls of Oia, Santorini I’m ready for some crystal clear waters and serious blue hues.
ITALY, GREECE AND TURKEY – PACKING LIST
So I guess you could say that I’m planning my trip in pictures with the goal of getting at least one photo of a blue dress against those beautiful grecian white washed walls! This ASOS dress will get that done. But in addition, it’s still going to be warm so quick pick dresses like this one from Chicwish and comfy footwear like a good pair of Soludos are musts. Also my newest obsession – Le specs sunglasses! Affordable and come in the cutest shapes like these cat eye frames ($79). Also to plus up a few of my outfits – I love this necklace from Baublebar and these Lisa Lerch earrings.
Another must on my list – finding the best Grecian sandals maybe with a few blue pom poms? Yes please! here’s to staying under the suitcase weight limit – then again I make no promises!
