The Lifestyle of the Superheros: Is it Healthy or Not?

Maybe you think the superhero lifestyle is a great example of what we should all strive for—being healthy and aging better. Maybe not!

In one study, conducted in BMJ (British Medical Journal), researchers compared 24 Marvel films’ superheroes against each other. With that, they found some interesting differences when it comes to their fitness habits. The results showed that while most wore elaborate costumes or had special powers like flight they were actually less active than average people on screen-and much heavier too; plus many suffered from mental health issues such as anxiety.

Let’s see which superheroes are suffering from some health issues.

MARVEL HEROES WITH HEALTH PROBLEMS

Hulk

Hulk may be angry, but the reasons for his anger are anything but superficial. His heart problems put him at risk of chronic disease. Surely that kind of stress has some effect on who he becomes in battle!

Black Widow

Unfortunately, Black Widow did not have an easy childhood. She often experienced physical and mental illness because of her traumatic past.

Spiderman

Spiderman’s ability to withstand the rigors of an active lifestyle may reduce his risk for falls in old age, but he is at higher risk due to constantly fighting crime every night. He does not get enough sleep which can lead him towards obesity and poor mental health as well!
